CustomersOverview
A large chemical enterprise produces various chemical raw materials and intermediates. The reactor requires precise temperature control during production, while the media in contact with the cooling system are highly corrosive; thus, the antifreeze must exhibit exceptional chemical resistance.
Customer Requirements
The antifreeze for the reactor cooling system must resist the penetration and corrosion of strong corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid at high temperatures (It operates stably under alternating conditions of 80–120°C and low temperature (-20–0°C), preventing corrosion and leakage in cooling system pipes and equipment to ensure production safety and continuity.
Solutions
A high-temperature and highly corrosion-resistant antifreeze was custom-developed for it; it uses special polymer materials as the base fluid and contains multiple anti-corrosion additives. It can form a dense protective layer in strongly acidic and alkaline environments, preventing corrosive media from attacking metals. The flash point of the product is higher than At 150°C, it has no volatilization or combustion risk under high-temperature operating conditions and does not solidify at low temperatures, ensuring the normal operation of cooling systems when temperatures fluctuate frequently.
Application Results
After using this antifreeze, the corrosion rate of the pipes in the reactor cooling system drops from the original level. Wear rate decreased from 0.5mm/year to below 0.1mm/year, and the incidence of equipment leakage accidents dropped by 80%. Over three consecutive years of production operations, the antifreeze performed stably without any deterioration or failure. Customers stated that this product provided strong support for the safety and stability of chemical production, significantly reducing equipment maintenance costs and downtime losses.
